"Things are only impossible until they're not." ~Jean-Luc Picard, Star Trek: The Next Generation

So it seems that I have gone a few days without posting. I did create something on Friday, but on Saturday and Sunday I was very busy and exhausted. This challenge has become incredibly difficult for me and doing something every single day is no longer realistic. You can call me a quitter but please keep your criticisms to yourself, please.

I am not quitting however, but I do need to take a short hiatus from this. I think the every day pressure is doing more harm than good in terms of my creativity. I feel like a squeezed sponge with no more water left to give.
I need to think and work on some new guidelines for myself so I can get back on track. Either make something every weekend, or make something every other day or couple of days.

Another thought, I need to try and pimp out my blog more when I come back. The lack of comments, feedback and encouragement has really hampered me as well. I am not saying that I need reinforcement to be creative but it does help in wanting to show what I have done. I am not sure if this is a flaw in my personality but it is what is.
(P.S. I do appreciate those who have been following me though!! And I thank you so much for sticking with me!)

With that, I will see you all in due time and hopefully I can come back to this very soon with much more gusto than before!

#107 & #108 Sad times

I’m sorry that I haven’t posted in a few days. I have been going through a rough emotional time. It was one year, on July 27th since I lost one of my best friends. I didn’t expect the anniversary to be so hard but it was. I have managed to keep up with my project, just hadn’t had the will to post what I’ve made. I am feeling up to it now.

My friend loved the number Pi so I made two projects with that theme. The first one (#107) is just a Pi made out of intertwined pipe cleaners and hot glue.

#108 is a little bit different. You might remember this box from a few posts ago. I had broken up some mirrors and hot glued them onto this box. Well, this is were I have decided to keep my friend along with a few of his things. I didn’t know what to do for the picture frame on the top and didn’t want to be cliche. Once again, since Pi was his favorite number, I decided to make a collage out of Pi in different fonts and sizes. I think it came out pretty well. Making it was very therapeutic for me.

#99 Spirals

I didn’t feel like drawing so I grabbed some pipe cleaners and got creative. This is what I came up with.

#97 moon lit scene

I went for a moonlit walk last night and it was a beautiful scene with the pond and trees. No matter how many pictures I took I couldn’t capture it. Here I am trying to recreate it. It’s a quick little doodle.

#87 Storm

We were in a severe thunderstorm warning so I took advantage and made that my inspiration. Just a quick little drawing to pass the time while the storm rolled through.

#86 Broken mirrors and a glue gun

I have this old box that was given to me and I have plans for it but I wanted to spruce it up a bit first. There were tiny little mirrors inside the box so I had an idea. I crushed them up into smaller pieces and glued them to the top rim of the box. I am happy with how it came out. Now I need to find a picture for the frame on top.

#83 Another t-shirt mod & #84 Sketch

Here’s another double post.

#83 Another t-shirt mod

I really love this t-shirt but it didn’t fit comfortably and I didn’t want to get rid of it. So, I cut it up. Now it fits like a tank top almost and feels way more comfortable 🙂

#84 Sketch

It feels like I haven’t done a drawing in forever. It was nice to use a pencil again. Just something random.
