Another blast from the past

I drew this back in April of 2010. It was the day before Good Friday and I was going through a rough time. I hadn’t drawn anything in a while then I randomly produced this. I’m proud of this one despite what wad going on at the time. It was a release I think.

P.S.

This is a drawing I did in maybe 2005-2006 for my best friend Myron (he was my boyfriend at the time). He had an affinity for the number Pi. Sadly, he passed away in July 2010. I miss him so much and really wish I could tell him about my blog and about how creative I have been. He has inspired me in a lot of ways and will continue to do so. I think about him every day and hope that some where, some how he knows.

Last year

Here is a drawing I did in June of 2010. I never got around to finishing it and the more I look at it I think it is pretty complete. I used to be apprehensive about working with marker or pen because it can’t be erased. Then I started realizing something my mother told me when I drew (she’s also an artist) “An artist doesn’t make mistakes. You work around it.”

Older things

So I am slowly going to start adding things that I have done before the challenge. Some are going to be really old, while some I might have made a few weeks ago. If ever you want to search for my older stuff you can head to the Back in the Day drop down menu at the top.

These owls I made maybe a month or so ago following this tutorial(yes, I like tutorials). My first attempt is the plaid one. Once I figured out what I was doing, I decided to make the second one way more awesome and soldered up some LEDs and stuck them inside.
