#92 Supernova

So I have been running on little patience lately so I wanted to create something that didn’t take much time. I decided to use Gimp and came across a neat and quick tutorial. I liked that is was called Supernova so that kind of helped me decide to go with it.

#81 T-shirt mod & #82 Gimpin’ it

I finally have a chance to update my blog, thankfully. Instead of making an individual posts for each of my projects, I am going to do it in groups of two. Makes it easier that way.

#81 T-Shirt Mod

I have this t-shirt that was given to me and I really like it except that it’s too big. After searching online, I learned how to mod it to make it fit a little tighter and look more feminine. I cut out the collar and sleeves. Then I cut strips on the sides and tied them so the shirt fit a little tighter. It also makes it a little sexy. It still needs some tweeking but I am happy with it.

#82 Gimpin’ it

Played with Gimp again. This is nothing exciting but I think it came out pretty neat.

Tutorial found here.

#55 It’s been a while

So I decided to work with Gimp this evening since it has been a while.
I followed this tutorial.
I am really learning different techniques every time I use a tutorial. This time it reaffirmed the use of filters and color gradients.
P.S. I think this looks like a flower of some kind.

One of these days I will be able to create a really awesome design in Gimp on my own, but until I become more familiar with the tools, I’m sticking with tutorials. Like this one.

#9 is very fine

I decided to do more work in Gimp today. I ended up completing two images. The first one I followed this tutorial. The second image I just went by what I picked up in yesterdays piece. It is supposed to be a nebulae. I am still getting used to using Gimp so it is not exactly how I would like but this is a work in progress, right?

#8 “Space is big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to space.”- Douglas Adams

So I have a thing for space porn. Nebulae, planets, galaxies you name it. So I wanted to see if I could try and create a space scene on my own. I found this nifty tutorial that shows how to make one in very little time. I am not 100% satisfied with how mine came out, but I am going to try and find more tutorials and make more when I can.
